The University of Edinburgh - AFFIRM

The University of Edinburgh/AFFIRM (Awareness of Fetal movements and Focussing Interventions Reduce Fetal Mortality) developed this resource with the help of eCom Scotland for all maternity care professionals working in services that are study sites for the AFFIRM project.

The resource has been developed to ensure that the two key study interventions are consistently implemented by all staff at the study sites.  That is, that all women are given clear, consistent, evidence-based messages about fetal movements throughout their pregnancy and that they then receive a consistent package of care if they are admitted with a history of reduced fetal movements.
